Director / Associate Director of Building Surveying

HPT Recruitment are working with an international consultancy based in the North East. They are looking to add a Director / Associate Building Surveyor to their team who have a strong growth plan in place for the future. As a business they offer a range of surveying services and act as a one stop shop to their clients. With multiple offices across the UK, they are now looking to build their offering across the North East.
Working alongside the Directors, the candidate coming in will be tasked with establishing a Building Surveying presence for the business within the North East. The individual coming in should have strong connections within the market and have cultivated good business relationships over the years. They must have solid experience within traditional building surveying across multiple sectors for both commercial and residential properties.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Surveyor who wants to really make their mark within the business and make this role their own. There is plenty of growth prospects including building a successful team beneath them from the ground up. This truly is an opportunity the create ‘a business within a business’.
As this is a vital role for the consultancy, the incoming candidate must be MRICS chartered and already be working at an Associate level or above. They must be confident in business development with a good track record of building and maintaining relationships, be technically sound in traditional building surveying, able to work autonomously, be extremely motivated and ambitious whilst being a team player.
The candidate will be joining a great team in the North East who are young and driven. The business pride themselves on being a larger consultancy but keeping the family orientated culture with the offices working as close-knit teams. This is proven by senior management always being contactable and on hand to assist when needed. They are still very much at the forefront of the business and hands on.
